Pending Approval 19 probably just gonna be designated as Level 19 if I’m honest. is the X Level of The Backrooms. It takes the appearance of some dank old attic, feels oddly familiar like every other place in here.

a dirty old attic, floors are creaky and the whole place is gonna trigger my damn asthma. Level PA19 is a lot of endless cramped basement. Cobwebs are common and as are boxes. The boxes contain little to nothing need to revise this to fit with the usual tone, god clinical is a drag.

PA19 lacks in any source of “natural” light, with the entirety of the Level only being illuminated by an extremely faint glow that comes from no known origin. and some of the floorboards emit this lovely orange glow from whatever’s under them, it’s so warm, reminds me of my Grandma's home.

There’s also some furniture, ranging from tables, ottomans, bookcases, and sofas. All of them have a feel of a care home, and are incredibly dusty I’m going to stab whoever invented clinical tone.

There are no established Bases, Communities, or Outposts on this level. and I honestly doubt there ever will be, the dust-lined walls alone will kill anyone with lung problems. Although the warm glow beneath the floorboards is nice, maybe a place could be set up around it. I'm sure we could survive around it.

It should be noted that Level PA19 can mess with your head, creating voices and inflicting nausea. yeah I know I’m missing the important lingo, but if you care so much about this sounding right why not edit this yourself.

Writing this a few hours after, just got the entrances and exits to do now. But the hallucinations are getting stronger. I’m seeing all sorts of colors, my mouth is filling with bile, and I swear I’ve blacked out who knows how many times in the past hour alone. But I think looking and thinking about the orange glow beneath the floorboards helps a ton. It’s helping me, at least.

Well I got here via Level 1, just a couple meters away from the main M.E.G. base, I forget what stupid name it's being given. I was sent here by one of the new 'teams' being made. I just crawled through the hole in the wall that we've seen for weeks. Getting in was fine getting out, though. That's going to be an issue.

No one will mind if I hide this original revision, right? I've read some more accounts about this PA19 and heard a couple of stories from our explorers. As much as I'd like to keep this up, I'm not sure what sort of things we should be allowing on our databases right now. I'm sure it would be fine to keep up, Andrew and Kat think it would be at least, I just can't help but worry about people getting intrigued to get here given how easy it is to… you know, find it. I pass the entrance sometimes, so, I'm restricting info to make sure people don't try to clamber into that hole and end up somewhere they can't escape

Feel free to revert this, but I'd rather keep this safe until we know what this 'orange glow' is.

I just randomly found this tablet in front of a hole in the floor, the hole was kinda glowing orange, which is interesting…? God I have no idea, this whole “Backrooms” place is so damn strange.

I imagine that this tablet is used by that meg lot, I imagine that this has access to the whole database of Level thingy’s that Melody showed me. This is honestly kinda cool, maybe I can make a few edits here and there, add my own experiences to these pages, I can contribute to this place!

Well, I tried, but the administrators didn’t like me adding to the pre-existing pages they’ve written. Guess I’m lucky they haven’t noticed how I overwrote that Overseer message. I get this place seems dangerous to that guy, but I think I can do a pretty good service by sticking my neck out and making this page for… PA19?

Maybe they’re watching me take notes, if so… hi! I guess. Don’t delete this please, this is the only way I can catalog this.

But in other news, I decided to have a little wander around as I made my awesome edits, I’m still wandering around now as I even type this! But yeah, I found some more interesting stuff, I guess. I mean this Level isn’t exactly the most interesting, considering some of the Levels I read about on Melody’s phone. Nevertheless, I guess I found some interesting things?

For one, I found some surprisingly pristine food in the boxes, I found some open cans of tuna, water bottles, and sometimes cooked gammon on a plate! All the food tastes so nice and lovely, I haven’t had a proper meal in… god, no idea. I wonder if there’s more of it inside the orange glows. Oh! I should mention that!

The orange glow! Yes, that thing. So I haven’t mentioned it until now but now seems like a good time to do so. The floor is a mix of pink insulation material and floorboards, and underneath some of those floorboards… is a warm… lovely glow. It’s like a nice fire, or like cozying up under a heated blanket with your grandparents during your time in Switzerland. Ok, well that was a bit specific- I didn’t even really mean to write that whole thing. The comfort of that glow just brings it out of me, I suppose.

But yeah, that glow is nice and fuzzy and warm and just… it’s good, very good in fact. Makes we wish I had the power to tear open the floorboards. Wonder if I can remember where the hole I found this tablet was at… maybe I’ll go looking for it. Maybe.

Level 3 is the 4th Level of The Backrooms or well at least I think it’s the 3rd Level? It’s the 3rd Level I’ve found, and even though Melody showed me a Level that went all the way up to level-108, I haven’t read about a Level 3, nor can I find one without needing some pesky password. So I'll take up the free spot.

The place resembles a really old and damp attic, kinda hard to see in, except for the glowing floor.

Level 3 is really old and musty. I can barely stand in the place. There aren’t walls, per se, as the ceilings for each room are just triangular slopes that taper down to the floor. There are empty door frames to go from area to area, and the rooms aren’t exactly square.

The best way I can describe the layout of the rooms is… odd. Some rooms are just square or rectangular, but others have other parts jutting out of them. It’s strange, think of it as the attic to the most confusingly laid-out house. I suppose that’s the only way I can put it.

There’s furniture too, it’s all dusty though. There are boxes with pristine food and some other random trinkets and bits. So if you need supplies… come get those here! Providing you can find an exit, which I haven’t. Although maybe the glowing floor can be the way out. Maybe it can be everyone’s way out! Wouldn’t that be swell??

I just can’t keep my head straight, all I can think about is the orange glow. It’s so inviting, there’s honestly nothing more I can say about it. I’m ill, my conditions have worsened and I haven’t slept. I just can’t stop writing, I want to write more, more about this Level. More about the warm glow under the floor. Alright. How the fuck did no one notice this?? Not only does the account match the idiot that wrote “I found a blue door on Level 1, I didn’t peek in but maybe it goes to another Level”, but these odd edits to a locked page had been going on for about a day with absolutely no one noticing.

I swear some of the admins here are incompetent. I know we're all new, and it feels like the Overseers don't even know what they're doing, but come on. This database allows us to have edit barriers. I'm going to put up just some friendly warning since Overseer-A still wants this hidden away, and it'll be removed if we ever come to making PA19 an actual level writeup.

Level 19 is the 20th Level of The Backrooms and was discovered on December 1st, 2014. With the Level itself bearing the form of a dank, dilapidated and cluttered attic.

Level 19 is a complex series of randomly shaped attic spaces, packed with a heavy clutter of boxes, vintage furniture, and other miscellaneous items. While the exteriors of these items are frequently found damp, dust-covered, and dirty, the interiors of these items will, more often than not, be in near pristine condition.2

The boxes within Level 19 often contain vital foods and a wide amount of cataloged, anomalous objects. Upon an item being removed from a container, there is a possibility it will begin to decay at a rapid rate3. This decay effect affects more than just inanimate objects, however. A select amount of individuals may feel effects nausea, paranoia, general dizziness, and may be subject to periods of blacking out or hallucinations. It is currently unknown if this extends to physical decay.

Within some of the floorboards of Level 19, a warm, fire-like glow may emanate from underneath, shining up through the flooring. This glow has an odd, alluring effect that can attract wanderers by instilling a feeling of comfort and tranquillity. Oftentimes pulling direct memories from the individual and altering them to be directly connected to this glow.

The Orange Glow is the term coined to describe the faint, warm glow that emanates from under the floorboards of Level 19. While it's currently unknown where the glow originates or how the light can alter memories, it is heavily theorized that either this glow creates the decay effect in Level 19, or that it amplifies it.

While not known to be sentient, this glow has previously infected the mind of others to spread the knowledge of its existence, which has caused unsanctioned edits to be randomly added on both this article and others on the database in the past. For this reason, it is heavily unadvised to enter Level 19.

There are no known Bases, Communities, or Outposts on this level.

Entrances

Level 19 can be accessed via climbing into random holes within Level 1. One exists just off the north exit to Base Alpha, though a further 15 have been found by the M.E.G.

Other entrances include Level 18, which is done by turning around and leaving the level upon arrival, and level-183 via old manholes on the traversable paths of its sewers.

Exits

One can exit Level 19 by falling through any of the non-glowing floorboards or crevices, resulting in a variety of outcomes. Such as appearing on Level 38, Level 202, level-432, and Level 654.

Alternatively, occasional, broken or damaged doors can lead to Level 289, Level 5, Level 12, or Level 20.

As a third method of exit, finding either handheld games or small arcade devices within the boxes can teleport one's self to Level 40, or Level 212.

Finally, the presumed perimeters of Level 19 cause intense blurriness and general decay that is usually apparent on Level 19, however experiencing these processes at the boundaries of Level 19 will take you to level-140.
