A picture of the Waiting halls.
On behalf of the Major Explorer Group, The General Public Database and its staff team warn you that due to recent discoveries about Level 20's nature, entry to this level is ill-advised. The M.E.G. have given us permission to add their expedition logs of Level 20 at the end of the article for further context.
-Admin François
Level 20, also known as Fun Zone, is an activity palace that extends for an unknown distance. Those who enter this level commonly report auditory hallucinations involving breathing and heavy winds, as well as visual hallucinations of snowfall. It is divided into two sections, known as "the Waiting halls," and "the Electric."
An orange, gelatinous substance with no apparent source falls through the ceiling at irregular intervals. The leading theory is that it may be no-clipping from another, as of yet undiscovered, level. The substance seems to be harmless thus far, but has not been fully analyzed.
The Waiting Halls

An entrance to the Electric from the Waiting halls.
The first section is a series of hallways consisting of white concrete, a brown carpet and a grey tiled ceiling. The hallways are littered with lockers, trash cans, couches, tables, chairs, empty reception desks, water fountains pouring Almond Water, and vending machines. Chocolate bars as well as pop can be found within the lockers, and the abundance of these materials increases the further one gets from an entrance.
Windows in the Waiting halls display anomalous properties and are found commonly. Looking out these windows will reveal a black void, accompanied by a vast expanse of stars, as well as the occasional moon. Interestingly, anywhere within a 10-metre radius of these windows will have the temperature drop anywhere from -22°C1 to -43°C2, despite the Waiting hall's average temperature of 7°C3. Everyone within the radius will also undergo minor headaches, as well as extreme paranoia.
Although the amount of entities present within the Waiting halls are minimal, Deathmoths, Clumps, Hounds, Facelings, Skin-Stealers, Nguithr'xurhs, and Growlers have all been spotted within the Waiting halls on multiple occasions. The population of entities is theorised to have been caused by a mass migration of entities from Level 2, possibly during the blackout.
The Electric

A picture of the Electric.
The Electric is a series of black concrete halls, composed of a black tiled ceiling, a grey carpet, and neon lighting. Entrances to the Electric can often be stumbled upon after roaming the Waiting halls for around 1-4 days.
Historically, reports mild paranoia when within the Electric have existed, though weren't a common occurrence. Recently, these reports have increased drastically, making paranoia a notable threat towards exploration of Level 20. In addition to the paranoia, the frequency of the hallucinations mentioned prior will increase dirastically. Further research and exploration of the Electric is underway.
Interestingly, the Electric does not pitch forward as most people think it to. Instead, it slowly elevates downward, with the hallways functioning as ramps which go such a small distance down that the change in elevation is unnoticeable.
The elevation of this level will effect the temperature, which slowly decreases the further down one goes. The lowest temperature recorded is -27°C4. This poses a significant obstacle towards the exploration of the Electric, as one can easily gain frostbite in this level if unprepared.
Within the Electric are doors that lead to its various games, activities within rooms, which require physical movement to win. Upon beating a game, the level will reward the winner with supplies such as food or Almond Water. If one is to lose the game, the level will manifest a hostile entity or teleport the 'player' to a different, more dangerous level, often leading to the death of the wanderer. A list of these games and their properties will be provided below.
Additional games are believed to exist, though they remain undocumented.
The same entities found within the waiting halls can be found here, though appearing in larger numbers. Entities are unable to enter or exit any of the games, as whenever they touch one of the doors, they show repulsion and will immediately leave the location.

M.E.G. Expedition Logs
WARNING
On behalf of the Major Explorer Group, The General Public Database and its staff team warn you that further discoveries about Level 20's nature have deemed that these logs are an info-hazard, and will cause harm to anyone who enters Level 20 after reading them. If you choose to read these logs, it is of utmost importance you avoid entrance to this level, as doing so may be fatal.
This information was already on our database prior to its effects being discovered, there is no point trying to cover up logs that have been already been in the public eye. As dangerous as this is, we have decided this is the best course of action. Read at your own risk.
The M.E.G. have asked us to include this message:
"We are aware of how irresponsibly we handled this expedition, and our hearts go out to the families of Jacob FinLuke, Joseph Arnold, and Isaac Hay. We have decided that it is the right course of action to release the expedition logs and give our full transparency to the incompetence that led to their death. We hope this warning will prevent any more casualties."

Jacob: Well, here we are. It took a bit of time trying to find that door in Level 2, but we made it.
Isaac: Aye, took us way too long to figure out directions on the map, not sure if this is on us or if the map they gave us was faulty.
Joseph: You guys think Track Mappers might fucking hate us? We ask them for a nice map, right? A simple little map to a Level 20 entrance. They give us a terrible map with mundane directions. Are they trying to kill us? Not even mentioning their snarky comments during the conversation about receiving the map.
Isaac: Joseph, not when we're recording.
Jacob: I think it's best if we end the log for now, this was just to let Base Alpha know we made it. I'll start up a log once something more notable happens.

Isaac: And, we're on lads!
Jacob: Took A bit of time, but we made it to the Electric around a day ago. I have this feeling that somethings watching us, y'know. It might just be a Backborn thing, honestly. I was born on Level 1, so stuff like that's common for me.
Joseph: My heads in shambles too, Jacob.
Jacob: Never mind.
Isaac: It's paranoia, the article for the database talks about this. The lads back in Alpha brought this up too, I think.
Joseph: So? Who the hell cares what some people in Level 1 and 2 say, what do they know? If they can't get us to an entrance to this level, how can I trust their advice?
Jacob: Calm down, alright? We'll survive.
Joseph: No, I am simply explaining why just because some guys in Base Alpha told me It's just "paranoia" doesn't mean I have to be calm about any of this. They've never been here! They can't tell me something isn't watching us right now!
Isaac: Look, Joe. I think you're a bit too distrusting of the M.E.G. These are all experienced researchers from some of the biggest bases in the organisation, they know what they're doing.
Joseph: Oh, fuck off with that! In the Backrooms, if you think something is watching you, something may be watching you. Some jackass telling me I'm just paranoid doesn't change this! Even if I am paranoid, so what? Paranoia is a warning sign, I have the right to be paranoid.
Jacob: The M.E.G doesn't want to hear this, and I don't either. If we keep cluttering our logs with this, we're going to get fired.
Jacob: Anyway, we aren't too far down. We only reached a point where the temperature changed around half an hour ago. We hope to be further down soon, though it will take a while. I'll start another log then.

Isaac: Took a while, didn't it?
Jacob: We've reached negative twenty seven, the coldest temperature ever reached. Far past the point where entities stop showing up. For whatever reason, we don't feel too bad about that.
Joseph: What he said.
Isaac: Joey, you were complaining five minutes ago.
Joseph: And now I'm happy, right? Something good is coming up, I can just sense it.
Jacob: I feel you, I feel you.
Isaac: Funniest part is, the cold isn't bothering us too much. We can thank the lads in Base Alpha for the good winter gear and the hot chocolate.
Jacob: Unfortunately, no new discoveries have been made yet. Thankfully, we have a feeling this is going to change very soon. Talk to you all later.
Joseph: You know what? Doesn't this get a bit repetitive? "Oh yeah, we made it to this point but nothing happened. Anyway, bye." I'd imagine this isn't helping the log archive very much, as you mentioned prior. Do we not have something else we could say?
Jacob: Do you have anything you would like to add?
Joseph: You have me there.
Isaac: Joseph has a point though, mate! Maybe we could talk about how we've been surviving in the cold. This way the M.E.G. can get an idea of things.
Jacob: I suppose we could.
Joseph: We've been living off of caffeine and food that's gone frozen, and that's it.
Isaac: What about some of the stuff we did before we got to this point, that could be interesting, no?
Joseph: Why?
Isaac: Why not?
Jacob: It'll clutter the log, this is stuff we can tell people when we get back from this level.
Isaac: Right. The vending machine story was pretty funny though.
Joseph: It was pretty funny, yeah. Fuck you guys for that, but it was pretty funny.
Jacob: Hey, we got some pop out of it, so it was worth it.
Joseph: To be fair, all we had to drink was a bunch of caffeine, I really don't blame you. I don't like myself too much coffee.
Jacob: We just agreed not to clutter the log.
Joseph: Oh, you were taking part in the conversation, buddy.
Jacob: I should probably end the log, though.
Isaac: Aye, you should.

Joseph: Jacob's fucking dead. Despite the fact it's negative forty three degrees and we're all freezing to death, a Hound still found the time to survive in this weather, sneak up on us, and maul him to death. This can't be a natural occurrence, this has to be the levels doing. It wants us dead. It's been throwing that fucking sludge at us rapidly. This level, no, this thing doesn't want us here. Base Alpha, and the M.E.G. as a whole, wise the fuck up. I don't dislike you guys, I got this job for a reason, but show some responsibility instead of sending three nobodies into a mission you knew would likely end with us getting killed. Tell my friends in Alpha I'll miss them, it's the least you bastards could do.

Isaac: I'll try to be more formal for this message. Joseph's dead. This time it was a Clump. Another entity that shouldn't be here. I share the same sentiments as Joseph, and I see no need to repeat his message. On a different note, I think I'm nearing something. The weather dropped to a full minus fifty, that has to mean something. I pray I'm able to reach that something before the cold gets to me. I see no point in continuing this log until then. Just to get some good research on this level before it kills me, I'll be trying to see if I can get that old camera of mine to work. If I'm going to die, I might as well ask for something, aye? You led us to our deaths, it's only fair. Give my friend, John Eterlados, a promotion, he's with a different regiment. I might haunt you lads if you don't, watch out! All jokes aside, give him something. He's a hard working man, he's earned it.

A large landscape of blue rock and chunks of red ice is visible. Above it is a pitch black sky, believed to be the one visible from the level's windows
Isaac: And she's on! It's a miracle this damn thing started working, thing should be frozen over. So this is it, aye? Jacob, Joey, this is for you!
Stars become visible throughout the sky, each of which varying in colour
Isaac: Pretty view. Makes me wish I was back in the Waiting halls, really. Scavenging lockers, bickering with Joseph, so on so forth. More importantly, the, very obviously freezing, weather doesn't seem to be affecting me. Goes without saying that's bloody strange, I really should be cold. Never mind that, I have something I want to show you lads.
The Camera turns around, showing a large, black building built upon the blue landscape
Isaac: That's where I just left from. What we thought to be the entirety of Level 20 is merely a wee structure there, can't imagine how far that thing stretches up to. I should mention, I suspect this level to be on some sort of planet. Think of it! The stars and moons, the futuristic theme. We have those people theorising that the Backrooms expresses itself based on the Frontrooms, aye? If the Backrooms expresses what it's levels based on the unknown look like through the human perception of said unknown, how is this any different? Humans imagine futuristic megastructures on far away planets, best put one there.
The camera begins to shake frantically
Isaac: I'm certain it's a planet! I don't know how I know, but very well I know, I can tell you that much.
The camera points up towards the sky
Isaac: Must be far from its sun to be this cold, aye? If it has one, that is. For all I know those stars are modern lights, and I'm looking at a black wall. That be pretty cool, wouldn't it? It be too close to that other level, though. Why do I feel so warm? It's freezing, I should've died now. I'm warm, I'm content. The view of the stars is hypnotising to me, just a lovely view overall. If only they were here to see this with me. Wait, can't you see it? it's in the sky! No, it is the sky!
The footage begins to distort. Isaac remains silent for twelve minutes. Notably, the sky remains unchanged.
Isaac: The camera isn't picking this up, damn shame. A sphere of blue flesh, containing the planet inside it. It's as if it was the sky itself. Thousands of eyes looking towards me, and thousands of mouths of sharp teeth. That orange ooze, it's coming out of its mouth. This thing's been spitting at us.
The distortion increases rapidly, making footage unrecognisable
Isaac: Hold on, it's trying to tell me something. It's saying that I-
All footage past this point is unintelligible, but goes on for roughly an hour
End Log 11:17
Conclusion: In assumption that the information revealed in the footage is truthful, Level 20 has been discovered to be a planet. We have decided to name the planet "Boreas," and the level "Boreas Structure." Due to the content of the exploration logs, as well as the inherent danger of the entity shown within the recording, no attempts at further expeditions into Level 20 will be conducted, and any plans for an outpost within the level are to be discarded. Although it would be ideal to block the public from entry into Level 20, the level has too many entrances for such a task to be possible. Instead, our course of action should be to advise the public against entry. This level has proven itself to be a possible threat towards those who enter it, as we don't know what this entity is capable of.
