Special Containment Procedures

No aircraft is to be allowed to fly capable of flying above SCP-011-CS. All military, private and tourist flights must be are redirected to a distance of at least 1 km from SCP-011-CS. SCP-011-CS must not cannot be explored using an aerial drone. Clearance Level 2 is required in order to access additional documentation regarding SCP-011-CS.

Description

SCP-011-CS is an area of 9 hectares on the following coordinates 49° 1' 15" N and 17° 55' 45" E, within the forest border between the Czech and Slovak Republics, roughly between the Czech village of Kochavec and Slovak village Bzovik. The anomalous properties of SCP-011-CS cause any object usually capable of flight (airplane, helicopter, drone, glider, birds, insect etc.) to be incapable within this area no matter the altitude|

Note from Dr. Hlaváček:

I was supposed to document this SCP. It didn't seem like a really special anomaly at the start. When we discovered what it does, we obviously had to make sure no one finds out. We contacted a few high ranking people dealing with aircraft and told them to change the flight paths of public flights, in order to avoid SCP-011-CS. But it turns out that was unnecessary because there was already an issued order to never fly over the area. Planes can't fly there.

We tried to look into military records from war time. No battle aircraft had ever flown over the area, and they even took multiple kilometer detours to avoid SCP-011-CS. Detours that nobody would do, unless they knew about the anomaly. That also means that no plane ever crashed over SCP-011-CS and the records back it up. They couldn't fly there during the war.

Nobody ever flew a drone over SCP-011-CS, or plane models or kites. We asked the people who live in its vicinity and they confirmed that nothing can fly there. The Foundation used amnestics on the people living close to SCP-011-CS and they still remember that nothing can fly there. These people will always know that nothing can fly there. If you stumbled upon something like this, an anomaly, a sensation, you would undoubtedly tell someone about it, but not these people. They don't go around saying it. We had to directly ask about it, otherwise they wouldn't tell us anything about SCP-011-CS. Kites can't fly there.

My boss denies ever assigning me to document this anomaly, where nothing can fly.

Dr. Choroš tried experimenting with bird behaviour within SCP-011-CS. He put GPS trackers on 20 pigeons and let them out in different places, couple hundred meters from SCP-011-CS. Pigeons that flew towards SCP-011-CS stopped on the border of the anomaly and dissapeared from the radars, then reappeared on the other side after a while. And when we let the pigeons out inside of SCP-011-CS, they didn't fly there and it looked on the radar as if we were letting them go at the border of SCP-011-CS. Birds can't fly there.

English speaking scientists who worked with us had problems identifying insects. They put into record that there are no flies and butterflies within SCP-011-CS. But I saw them and so did they. Their biologist, Dr. Johnson, showed me a small tortoiseshell butterfly and I even took a picture, but then he put into record that there are only common central European species of insect there excluding butterflies and flies. Insect can't fly there.

Birds can't fly there, planes can't fly there, insect can't fly there, drones can't fly there, angels can't fly there, bullets can't fly there, rockets can't fly there, dragons can't fly there, helicopters can't fly there, particles can't fly there. Nothing can fly there.
