Note that SCP-6197-2 is not anomalous.
Special Containment Procedures

Fig 1.1
SCP-6197-1 is to be kept in a Level V item locker, modified to continually heat itself via two space heaters which are placed at the west and east walls of the locker. Once per day, Area-74 technical staff are to inspect these heaters and perform routine maintenence as needed. If SCP-6197-1's item locker's temperature drops below 55 degrees Fahrenheit, further heating is to be provided and SCP-6197-1 is to be examined by a trained mortician to document any potential bruising or injury.
SCP-6197-2 is currently considered inactive. No containment procedures required at time of writing. Head Researcher Monica Dove reminds those assigned to SCP-6197 that it is anomalous..APPROVED CLEARANCE DETECTED: Personnel are to acknowledge SCP-6197-2 as an anomaly in all documentation and spaces accessible to Rsr. Monica Dove. Note that it is not actually anomalous; see Addendum 6197.2 for clarification. — Area-74 Director LopezⓘSCP-9256"God, what can a good girl do for fun around here?"- Additionally, SCP-6197 is to be blacklisted from the Internet through standard Foundation webcrawlers — in the event a news outlet attempts to cover the circumstances surrounding SCP-6197, Specialized Task Force Upsilon-1 ("KNOCKING BIRD") is to cease said investigation by whatever non-violent means available.
Description
SCP-6197-1 is the cadaver of Bianca Dove, discovered at the Chyrsanthemum Inn1, formerly situated in the Allegheny mountain range. SCP-6197-1's most notable effect is its violation of the second law of thermodynamics — it will continually cool a cubic meter of air around it at the rate of approx. 5 degrees Fahrenheit/hour and it will cool itself at 7 deg/hour.
SCP-6197-2 refers to several Spectral-Class anomalous events which occurred at the Chrysanthemum Inn immediately before Bianca Dove's murder. Consult the timeline below for further information..Note that this timeline is entirely compiled by Rsr. Monica Dove. — Area-74 Director Lopez
2008/10/2 22:32
Foundation monitoring posts stationed about 20km away from the site of SCP-6197-2 detect an increase in Akiva/EVE levels, consistent with the manifestation of multiple Spectral-Class entities. Due to the constant, uneventful manifestation and dissipation of such entities, this increase is not acted upon or related to the Chrysanthemum Inn.
2008/10/2 22:33
Spectral-Class entities are detected by Monitoring Post H6LP2W — onsite instance of Gladon.AIC judges that the Spectral-Class entities will dissipate without event due to their distance and irradiation levels.
2008/10/2 22:37
The Spectral-Class entities move out of range of Monitoring Post H6LP2W. For reasons yet unexplained, the onsite Gladon.AIC instance fails to report this to a higher-level Post..The Spectral-Class entities were almost entirely dissolved; the fact they managed to conjoin into a single entity and preserve their essophysical essence long enough to reach Chrysanthemum Inn during the severe Allegheny weather is nothing short of a miracle and is literally unprecedented. Don't bother explaining this to Monica, I've already tried. — Area-74 Director Lopez
2008/10/2 22:40
A text exchange is held between Bianca and Monica Dove — an SMS data dump is attached below. After the conclusion of this text exchange, the Chrysanthemum Inn and Foundation Monitoring Post H6LP2W both ceased to respond to or transmit any telecommunications.

Immediately after the conclusion of this text exchange, a connection was made between three wireless IP2 cameras within the Chrysanthemum Inn and two computer terminals at Area-74; during this connection, no other programs could be run and no other image rendered than the three3 realtime outputs of the cameras, which could be cycled through by pressing the Enter key. An example of such an image is produced in Fig 1.2.
Area-74 technicians have been unable to reconstruct the circumstances under which this connection occurred, nor have they been able to reconstruct the program that was loaded onto the computer terminals. Research is ongoing.
After some deliberation, Researcher Dove was allowed to use a computer terminal to view the connected camera feeds. Technician David Matthews and Junior Researcher Louis Monterosa viewed and attempted to debug the other affected terminal.
2008/10/2 23:27
Researcher Dove alerts an attendant staff member4 that Bianca Dove is visible on one of the camera feeds. She can be seen looking out of a front window, knocking repeatedly. Dove speculates that the knocking is some kind of code, and after discussion, the staffer returns with a Morse Code chart.
The following pattern is discerned by Researcher Dove..Monica's Morse pattern is almost certainly false. While Osweld wasn't able to get a coherent message, he was able to confirm to me that the knocking at the window was rhythmic. Monica herself, when interviewed, admitted both that Bianca would frequently "knock" patterns of songs she enjoyed, and was unversed in Morse code. If anybody wants to try and look at five pixels and make up a convenient message, be my guest. Personally, I will trust the judgement of common sense. — Area-74 Director Lopez 5

Note that, according to Researcher Dove, Bianca Dove was unfamiliar with Morse Code.
2008/10/2 23:41
One camera feed — labelled KITCHEN 2 — displays static. No other changes appear to occur in the Chrysanthemum Inn. Technician Rupert Holden is able to display cmd.exe on the terminal he is debugging. The Command Terminal is quickly revealed to be nonfunctional; it is decided that resources would be better spent attempting to contact other sites to mobilize a response to the Spectral-Class entity.
2008/10/3 01:00
Junior Researcher Louis Monterosa exclaims, "I saw her leaving the kitchen!" No one else present is able to corroborate this, and Bianca Dove remains unlocated despite concerted efforts. No sites are available to respond to the threat. The KITCHEN-2 camera is no longer accessible.

Fig 1.3
All personnel present report seeing Bianca Dove from the BEDROOM-1 camera feed. This is despite the fact that, as seen in Fig 1.36, Bianca Dove is not visible in the feed. Furthermore, when asked to recount what Bianca Dove had done, each witness gave conflicting testimony. A condensed version of each person's account is attached below — for a more complete testimony, view Addendum 6197.3..This collapsible section has been attached solely due to Rsr. Dove's persistent requests that it be included. Note that these interviews are not considered reliable under the Foundation Handbook for Information Gathering. — Area-74 Director Lopez
Monica Dove: Bianca Dove went into the bedroom, put her hand against the window, and after a short time drew the curtains. As she did so, a black mass came out from the bottom crack of the door, coalescing vaguely into the shape of a woman with a large backpack. The spectre entity proceeded to remove several survival supplies from this backpack. Discernible in the low-resolution were a first aid kit, a full-length machete, two spools of rope, several bags that appeared to be military MREs, and two semi-automatic pistols. Bianca proceeded to converse with the entity for some minutes, and at the end of this conversation, hugged the entity before returning the supplies to the backpack and leaving view of the camera, walking hand-in-hand with the entity.
Rupert Holden: Bianca Dove went into the bedroom, closed the windows, and turned off the light. After a few minutes of low visibility, she turned the lights on again and began to rifle through a closet, throwing clothes onto the bed and taking boxes out from the side of the closet. After a few more minutes of this, Bianca stepped into the closet and closed it on herself. The BEDROOM-1 camera immediately cut to black and remained black for as long as it was operational.
Louis Monterosa: Bianca Dove went into the bedroom and removed a handgun from the drawer — she checked it over, and after presumably verifying that it was good, left the sight of BEDROOM-1. After that, a black, shadowy entity slowly appeared on the bed, maintaining a foggy appearance and form of a featureless woman. This entity sat up, spoke into the camera for several minutes, and as soon as we realized it would be impossible to lip-read with the poor camera quality, the entity instantly disappeared. Bianca Dove walked into the bedroom, tears visible on her cheek, and shot the headboard of the bed once with the handgun. She then turned around, looked at the camera, and appeared to shoot it.
Staff Member: Bianca Dove went into the bedroom, opened the curtains, and looked out of them. Despite the low-resolution of the cameras, we agreed that there were stars amidst the storm. She closed the curtains after roughly 10 seconds, opened the closet, and searched it for about a minute. She was not visible during this time. She left the closet carrying a large fur-lined jacket and boots. She sat on the bed, put them on, and then opened the window. A black, blank-faced figure entered the room — distinct from the Spectre-class entity that had originally followed Bianca — and Bianca appeared to speak to this figure for a moment before hugging and kissing it for an extended period of time. Finally, Bianca and the figure opened the window. Bianca exited through window, and the figure followed, closing the window behind it. The curtains slowly closed themselves — [yeah,] the mechanism by which they closed was not visible.
2008/10/3 01:15
Researcher Dove leaves her terminal, saying "I can't do this anymore, I fucking can't." The staff member accompanying her also leaves the room for a 15-minute break7. Junior Researcher Louis Monterosa takes her place. Almost immediately after Dove leaves the room, Monterosa states that he sees a painted "message" on the front door through FRONT-3. After a concerted effort, Monterosa, Holden and Dove narrow the message down to three possibilities: "ICY U", "IGT U", and "IFH U." The three unanimously agree that "ICY U" is the most likely of those possibilities.
2008/10/3 01:22
Bianca Dove is seen through FRONT-3. All witnesses unanimously agree that she is in significantly worse physical condition than earlier, with visible wounds on her face, arms, and neck. The staff member returns after being called by Researcher Dove and is promptly sent to attempt to contact emergency-response MTFs. An RTF file is later discovered on both computer terminals with a timestamp of 2008/10/3 01:22:25 EST. It is attached below.
For you, Moni.
I've never been good at writing letters, but I hope I can give some idea of what's been happening with me, some idea of why I've done this.
First, I need to tell you that, no matter what it seems, I'm okay. My body might be left, but I — my soul — will be fine. I'll do my best to find you, to find a way to speak with you, when this process is all done, but I can't tell you how long it'll be until I get to speak to you again. I'll be waiting for you, though. Please remember that.
Second, I need to tell you that I can't tell you where I'm going. It's not just because of what you do for work, although I would be a liar if I said that it wasn't partially that. Another, better reason why I'm forced to keep my destination a secret is because, if I told you, there would be no way for me to return. Part of how I'll come back is by relying on you, and although I can't tell you what exactly I need for my return, I can tell you that I need you to live your life normally. Please don't grieve, because I'm not dead.
Third, you need to know that Nat8 will be okay. I know you think they're with me — I sent them with [DATA REDACTED]9 a day ago. She doesn't know what's happening, though — I'm sorry I levied that onto you, but it's yet another thing I'm powerless to change in this process.
Fourth, I hope you can forgive me when I return for having left. I know what we were planning to do, and I know how much it matters. And I know how much it's a betrayal to see me disappear of my own volition. I hope you can see when I come back how it was worth it, how I needed to do what I've done. I wish I could tell you so much more, I swear to God I do, but I just can't. I just want you to try to understand, and I hope you do when the end to all this arrives.
I'll never not be sorry for this, but I think it'll be all right in the end.
With Love, Bea.
2008/10/3 01:23
Bianca Dove stands at the entrance to the Chrysanthemum Inn, with a black, visible Spectral-Class entity behind her.10 Contact is established with Site-898, but after discussion, it is decided that it is impossible to reach the Chrysanthemum Inn in a reasonable timeframe without recklessly endangering Site personnel.
2008/10/3 01:25
Bianca Dove waves to the FRONT-3 camera, and holds what appears to be a sheet of paper in her hands. She is seen setting it down at the side of the door, and then opening the door to the Chrysanthemum Inn. Snow rapidly enters the Chrysanthemum Inn; several items, including the FRONT-3 camera, are violently expelled from the Inn via what appears to be explosive decompression11.
Visibility is severely obscured, but Researcher Dove claims that "She left! She left the fucking Inn with that ghost!" This is not corroborated by the last available image from the FRONT-3 camera [see Fig 1.4], sent at 01:25:11.
Head Researcher Note: Someone cut this portion of the timeline, so I'll fit it in here:
During a retrospective investigation on the events of SCP-6197-2, Technician Holden admitted on a polygraph examination that he did not contact other sites. This was in direct violation of chain-of-command orders. When asked why he neglected to contact other sites — particularly the geographically close Site-898ⓘRun the River Red HubIn the maw of the mountains, we lay here bleeding. All 'til the dead canary sings.- — Holden stated the following:
"We were under a lot of stress, and when we were working to try and figure what to do, I couldn't recall any sites that would be remotely close enough to the Chrysanthemum Inn — and this is assuming that Bianca was in direct danger, which I completely disagreed with — to respond in time. When a quick Google search revealed that night was some of the worst weather the Alleghenies had seen, I reasoned that there was no world in which a Site would actually mobilize, at 11:41 PM, to investigate a minor poltergeist.
It was a critical error, in retrospect, but I exercised what I believe still was the best judgement I could have exercised at that time.
After extensive discussion within the Ethics Committee, it has been determined that the charge of violation of Title 1, Chapter 7 § 1.2 should be removed.

Struck-through text on back of artwork: "You would've loved Natasha's drawing, Bea. She's prescient. ♡"
After the events described in SCP-6197-2's timeline occurred, SCP-6197 was officially classified; a preliminary file was written by Jr. Researcher Monterosa and Researcher Dove. After discussion, Site-898 agreed to travel to the Chrysanthemum Inn after the cessation of inclement weather.
3 -898 agents departed for the Chrysanthemum Inn on 2008/10/3 10:25, arriving at about 15:05. Upon arrival, the Chrysanthemum Inn was documented to be in extremely poor condition — see Addendum 6197.5 — and, despite an extensive Akiva/EVE radiation sweep, the dissipation point of the Spectral-Class entity accompanying Bianca Dove remained undiscovered.
Within the Chrysanthemum Inn, SCP-6197-1 was discovered next to a sheet of paper. The contents of the paper are attached below.
Note that the note did not originate from Head Researcher Dove, despite similarities to her handwriting.
Strike this down and write me up again, Lopez, I don't care: This is not from the fucking house. Why did you edit my timeline to say that it is?
