Item #: SCP-ES-146
Object Class: Neutralized
Special Containment Procedures
SCP-ES-146 was reclassified to Class-E personnel. SCP-ES-146 is to stay under continuous surveillance, and isolated in Site-313's Cognito-Hazard Departament until further notice.
Description
SCP-ES-146 was a Senior Researcher at Site-313's Cognito-Hazard Departament, named Reinaldo Casas. SCP-ES-146 was characterized by the creation of false memories of itself on subjects that had perceived it, with these memories being different on each affected subject.
The SCP designation given to Researcher Casas was incorrect, as he had actually been affected by a currently unknown anomaly. The anomaly mantained its properties for one month after initial containment, at which point these effects began to dissipate in those affected.
It is currently considered neutralized.

Special Containment Procedures
Knowledge about the anomaly that is currently affecting SCP-ES-146 is to remain accessible only to Level 4 Personnel and above. SCP-ES-146 must be contained in a Standard Humanoid Cell and will follow the Humanoid Maintenance Protocol. Due to its passive nature and possible side effects, it has been decided that neither SCP-ES-146 nor any instance of SCP-ES-146-1 is to be eliminated.
Given the inherently antimemetic nature of SCP-ES-146-1 instances, no additional containment procedures are necessary.
Description
SCP-ES-146-1 are multiple entities physically similar to a Senior Researcher of Site-313's Cognito-Hazard Departament, Reinaldo Casas (designated SCP-ES-146).
Currently, there is one SCP-ES-146-1 entity for each subject with knowledge of SCP-ES-146. SCP-ES-146-1 entities are part of a hive-mind, and maintain a non-reciprocal memory with SCP-ES-1461. Although there are psychological and physical differences for each instance, they have all been described as if they were SCP-ES-146 (and are therefore indifferent to it).
Each SCP-ES-146-1 entity possesses antimemetic properties, as they can only be observed when SCP-ES-146 interacts with a subject. Upon SCP-ES-146 interacting with any subject, an instance of SCP-ES-146-1 affecting only this subject will replace it. Once the interaction is concluded, the SCP-ES-146-1 instance will return to its initial position.
It should be noted that, when interacting with multiple subjects, each instance of SCP-ES-146-1 will remain "overlapped" in the same space. As such, subjects will always perceive SCP-ES-146 according to their instance of SCP-ES-146-1.
The creation of new SCP-ES-146-1 instances occurs when a subject becomes aware of SCP-ES-146. If this is achieved through first-hand contact, then an unique instance of SCP-ES-146-1 will be created. When achieved through a third party, their instance of SCP-ES-146-1 will be shared between the first affected subject and its interlocutor.
It is known that a singular instance of SCP-ES-146-1 may change its personality and physiology through time, this being a direct effect of the growth of knowledge regarding SCP-ES-146.

Discovery Log
The existence of SCP-ES-146-1 was discovered two months after SCP-ES-146 was classified as E-Class personnel.
Through investigation with amnestic and memetic treatments, it was discovered that, in the office of Site-313's Cognito-Hazard Department, there were 12 SCP-ES-146-1 instances, each being next to a different researcher.
Every SCP-ES-146-1 entity was later captured and interviewed. All entities presented similar behaviour, consisting mainly of stress and anxiety.

Incident Log
On 25/10/2011, a containment breach was recorded at 03:13 a.m., when 113 SCP-ES-146-1 entities proceeded to kidnap SCP-ES-146 from his office in the Cognito-Hazard Department, gagging him and carrying it on their backs.
The local Containment Team was alerted to this breach and quickly proceeded to contain it. 8 minutes later, the previously named entities were recorded acessing their local Incineration Unit along SCP-ES-146. SCP-ES-146 was observed suffering from multiple bleeding puncture wounds, in an apparent state of agony. The SCP-ES-146-1 entities then proceeded to throw SCP-ES-146 into the incinerator, and retreated.
Once the Containment Team arrived at the Incineration Unit, no traces of this event were found.
At 6:26 a.m., SCP-ES-146 reappeared on its office without any recollection from the event.
No new incidents have been recorded.
